Urli or Uruli is basically a wide open metal container filled with water and floating flowers. It first originated in the South India in the use of making Ayurvedic medicines. Later on, it made its presence in to Indian Decors and now widely used in interiors and exterior home designs. Today, it’s available in vivid varieties from terracotta to brass and in all shapes and sizes.

That’s our brass Urli with floating fresh roses. Urlis are the best and easiest way of bringing in the freshness and fragrance of flowers to your homes. One can even add floating lamps or candles to give it a more festive look!
Here’s showcasing my different urlis collected over the time now adorning my home decor. So as you can see, I got a solid brass Urli and four different types of terracotta urlis. Different flowers can be used in different patterns and color contrasts for the glam look. It’s more of a personal preference in choosing the flowers for the Urli. Anyone can create this amazing looking urlis in few minutes.
As we have just entered the September month, the festivals are lined up starting with my favorite, Ganesh Chaturthi. I am all prepared for the festival decorations with these beautiful urlis. Are you? ☺️
